Tsuru no Sato Furusato Kan (Crane Village Furusato Museum)Historic old Japanese style House Museum

Furusato Kan is a reconstructed 120-year-old Kawamura House which was relocated from Ushiro Nakano village to its current location near Fujimi Lake Park in 1995.

Furusato Kan was reconstructed to its original structure using the same material that was originally used to construct the house. The Museum has an original floor plan from early Meiji period consisting of Zashiki (parlor room), Ima (living room), Doma (dirt floor area), a horse stable and Kamado (cooking furnace). Historic agricultural farm equipment is showcased. Once inside the house, you will experience a taste of Old Tsuruta in Meiji period lifestyle.
